I was confidently walking towards Savio's office, his secretary was so shocked upon seeing me. I smiled at her.
"Sorry, ma'am, do you need something?" She asked.
"I'm here to see Savio Montecaza."
She narrowed her eyes as if I told her a humorous joke.
"A-ahm, do you have an appointment with him, ma'am? What's your name?"
I was a bit irritated but I calm myself, I don't want them to have a bad impression of me.
"Raphia Elizar..."
She immediately checked her laptop to see if I'm scheduled to meet her boss.
"Actually I don't need to make an appointment with my boyfriend," I stated. She looked at me, I smiled at her once again before turning my back at her and went to open the office door of Savio.
I almost choked when I saw him seriously staring at his laptop. His forehead creased when he saw me.
"I'm really sorry sir, I'll take ma'am outside." His secretary held my arms, I glared at her.
Savio cleared his throat, "It's fine, Kate. Leave us alone, please."
She hesitated at first but still obeyed Savio's command. Now, I was left with him and I can feel the awkwardness.
He fixed his tie, I stood still, waiting for him to invite me to sit.
"Why are you here? What do you need, Raphia?" he asked. I don't think he'll invite me to sit so I invited myself. I sat in front of him, he sighed.
"Seriously, Savio? I was for you yesterday at the airport, I thought you would pick me up?" I know we're not in the good condition right now, our relationship is already on the edge and I'm planning to save it.
"I have many important matters to attend yesterday," He reasoned out.
I just nodded but not buying his reason.
"You need to make up to me, let's have lunch together." I smiled at him, he stared at me for a second before he sighed.
I felt the heaviness feeling on my heart. He seems not interested at all. Long gone the sweet Savio I've known.
"I have no time to eat outside, Phia. Just eat by yourself."
"Oh, come on Savio, it's been a long time since we hang out," I answered trying to hang my smile, not letting it fall.
"Let's go then, it's already 12, I have a lot of things to do later." He said dryly.
He stood up, of course, I followed him. He's taller now and undeniably handsome. I'm watching his back as I follow him.
He got more serious, I wanted to ask him a lot of questions. Maybe I'll just reserve all of that for later.
When we got to the parking lot, he raised his brows when he saw me still following him.
"What? My driver has many errands to do, he needs the car. We should go to the restaurant together. I'll ride with you."
"Fine..."
He didn't even bother to open the car's door for me. What a jerk!
I rolled my eyes before hopping inside. I saw how he removed his tux and his muscles were visible because of his thin white polo. I gulped and fix my eyes on the road.
When we got to the restaurant, the waiter greeted us immediately but when he saw me, he seems curious. "Good afternoon, ma'am and sir!" He stared at me for a moment but Savio held my waist, "I thought you're with ma'am Amora..." he smiled shyly, my forehead creased.
Savio guided me to our table, my mind is still sinking. Amora? Who's that?
The staff here knew Savio, it seems that they're all close together.
We ordered and while waiting for our food, I stared at Savio intently.
"Stop staring," he said.
"Who's Amora?" I asked briefly.
"Am I required to answer that question?" He glared at me.
I pouted like a child before drinking my water.
"I was asking sincerely, you must answer!"
He honestly told me years ago that he has many flings here in the Philippines while I'm in London, but he assured me that I am the only one he loves so I accept the kind of 'cheating' he was doing. But months ago before I came back here, we stopped communicating, actually, he stopped, I didn't. I kept on finding ways to reach him out but I couldn't, so I decided to go home.
That's why I wanted to know who is this Amora? She seems special to Savio, I can feel it, even though I don't know her.
"Here's your food, ma'am and sir Savio." The waitress served the food at our table.
"Call me ma'am Raphia," I smiled back at her. I want her to know me, I want them all to know me, same as they know that Amora.
The waitress left us and I can see how Savio glance at me like I've done something wrong.
"I want to shop Savio, can you accompany me?" I asked him while we're eating. The noble but dangerous Savio wiped his mouth with the white cloth.
"I can't, I'm busy." He simply answered.
I bit my lower lip and didn't reply. If he's still my Savio, he would gladly come with me even I didn't invite him. I guess, he really changed a lot. My friends were right, he looks ruthless and dark.
When we're done eating I told him to send me home, he just sighed and nodded like he's not interested in taking me home.
He was driving when someone called him through his phone.
"Can you please answer the phone and hold it for seconds? Turn the loudspeaker on." He gently said, I smiled because of the softness of his voice but immediately faded away when I saw the caller's name.
Amora's Calling...
With a heavy heart, I answered the call.
"Hey, babe!" The girl from the other line cheerfully said.
I looked at Savio and saw how his face brighten when he heard Amora's voice. What the hell?!
"Have you eaten your lunch already?" Savio asked, I rolled my eyes and almost tearing.
"Yes, where are you? I thought we're going somewhere today, have you forgotten?" Savio chuckled and that got me crazy!
"Damn me if I forgot, but no babe."
"Then where are you? I'm already here at your office." The softness of the girl's voice made me crumpled my palms.
Savio glanced at me before clearing his throat, "I'm on my way there, just wait for me there babe." He signaled me to end the call so I did.
He stopped the car in front of 7/11. He's still hungry? Did he stop to buy something?
"Take a cab, Phia." My mouth parted with what he said.
"W-what?"
I can't believe this!
"I said, just take a cab. I need to fetch my girlfriend already."
My throat went arid, but I'm his girlfriend!
"I'm your girlfriend, Savio! That Amora? I know that she's just one of your flings!" His grip on the steering wheel tightened.
"Out," his lowly voice was so dangerous, I can't even blink.
"S-Savio, how can you do this to me? I'm your official girlfriend." I calmly said.
"You left me, remember? The day you left, the day I consider myself a single."
"We talked about this several times, Savio! We didn't broke up! You asked if you can have flings to fill your needs, I accepted it! But this?! How dare you! Do you love her?" He was taken aback by my question. "We had a deal, Savio. You told me that you'll wait for me but what happened?" I cried.
He looked away, "I fell out of love."
I chuckled a bit while sobbing like a little child.
"You promised! I'm busy reaching my dreams but you're busy killing me behind my back."
"Stop blaming me, it's all your fault and you know that, Phia. I'm sorry but you should go out now, my girlfriend is waiting for me." My heart shattered, can he be just a little considerate of my feelings?
He's saying those sweet words to her girlfriend while he's with me! Damn him!
I angrily hopped out from his car, luckily, there's an empty cab outside already.
I cried while riding this cab, the driver even asked me if I'm fine, I gave him assurance.
I came back for him but little do I know that he's not waiting for me to come home into his arms. The old Savio Montecaza was now gone, he's now the version that I'm gonna hate forever!
