Mom: ok, sweetheart we will leave you to enjoy our new room and I will be back later to help you unpack after helping Lee
Elle: ok Mom, I hope it won’t stress you
Mom: Trust me darling it won’t and besides if I don’t who will, our Dad?
Elle: NO
As I said that I could hear Dad cough and I giggling also did Mom
Elle: ok, please go before I chase you guys out, I would like some time alone, please
Mom: ok, dear, c’mon honey let’s go
And in no time they were gone and I now have the room all to myself
Elle: {breathing in and out} goodbye London and hello California
I said bouncing on my bed to sit down
Elle: Am going to miss London, especially Kevin, and of course its food and culture. And yes it fun places too
The memories of those moments came flashing into my head. I laid down remembering all those funny moments I had with Kevin that I lost track of time. I was so lost that I didn’t hear my phone ringing until it rang again. I pick up the phone and answer it.
{The phone line}
Kevin: hello
From the sound of the voice, I knew it was Kevin
Elle: hey
Kevin: how are you?
Elle: well am good, what about you? Kevin: missing you that all
Elle: me too
From the phone, I would hear the sound of him breathing and I know he’s trying so hard to hide his pain of my departure
Kevin: So how is the new house coming along?
Elle: I won’t say new house but a new room. Hmm it’s ok
{He breathe hard again, trying to figure out what to say}
{Elle: I don’t even know what to say, that why remind quiet but I know I miss him so much}
Kevin: Hmm, are you happy?
I breathe so hard that I know he heard it
Elle: I don’t know if I am or maybe it’s just the traveling fever that’s all
Kevin: I hope so
Elle: I hope so too. Hmm, I got to go, I think Mom’s coming. She promises to help me unpack
Kevin: ok, bye. I will call you later best, take care ok?
Elle: you too, bye
And then I disconnect the call and Mom came in.
Mom: what you doing?
Elle: hmm, nothing. I was just waiting for you.
Mom: ok let’s start unpacking so that we can make it before dinner time
Elle: sure, am sure lee will be starving by now
Mom helps me unpack, arrange my room, and put my clothes in the perfect order, so I can easily find them. In no time we were done and went downstairs to prepare dinner. As soon as we got to the kitchen, Mom brought out things for dinner preparation. We were done making dinner and I went to set up the dining table while lee came running in
Elle: sit! And he did because he know without that no food
Elle: go wash your hands
Lee: but I wash them this morning while bathing
Elle: Mom you are not going to allow him eats with us with his dirty hands, are you?
Mom: of course not, Lee go wash your hands so u don’t spread germs in the foods. And please your Dad on your way back, tell him that dinner is ready.
After we were done with our delicious meal, I took the plates to the kitchen to rinse them out. Then we decided to watch a movie before bedtime. Sooner or later I knew to would get bored so I told that as an opportunity to go upstairs, so I don’t ask questions about the movie.
Elle: goodnight Mom, goodnight Dad, and night lee. {I said pecking mom and dad on the cheek} before I disappearing to my room.
I went upstairs took a shower, wore my nightie, and lay down on my bed.
Elle: ah what a day
And with that, I dozed off to dreamland.
