It is the 16th of November today it is my birthday today I am so excited dad promised to give me whatever I ask for today . Being the daughter of the powerful witch king has its pros and cons like 1 my only friend is my twin brother and 2 I am not allowed to use my powers being an elemental witch is hard because not only can I manipulatie the four natural elements like water , fire , air and earth but I can also read minds , feelings and I can move objects with my mind making me more powerful than my father and brother combined meaning that my powers can be a threat to my kingdom' s Safety the elemental powers are a gift given by the moon goddess after every 100 years making them very rare and powerful
So dad has made his life's mission to conseal the identity of my powers from everyone so I have been home schooled my entire life so the only friends I have are my parents , brother and Silva my spiritual pet phoenix spiritual pets are a reflection of a magical creature's powers I named her Silva because her feathers are pure silver . Right now I am rushing to the royal breakfast table mom is very strict about arriving on time everywhere so r taking my seat at the table next to Elijah's seat I started grabbing five pancakes and drizzled some maple syrup on top and started eating with my bare hands Catherine watching her only daughter wolfing down the pancake in an uncivilised manner was very worried as a mother she often wonders if her daughter will ever get married and often pushes her to more like Ria her cousin . I was wolfing down the delicious pancakes when saw the worry in my mother's sea green eyes and I realized that was eating with my hands again it is habit I can't help it sometimes I wonder if Catherine is really my mother or Ria's because she is always comparing me to Ria the only thing hear all day is Ria this and Ria that it is so frustrating sometimes it is like I am invisible in my mother's eyes I get good grades and obey the her and father and I fulfill their every wishes and still I have never heard a single I am proud of you from either of them
The dad appeared for breakfast "good morning my beautiful wife and kids " he said kissing mother affectionately"What it is this Valrick if you can't appear on time how do you expect the kids to come on time" Catherine complains to her husband " oh dear wife you of all people should that a king's Duties are unavoidable " he says ruffling with his wife's long strawberry blonde hair the thing is Kamaya and Elijah are biracial their mother is a white woman and their father a black man " Happy birthday my little babies " Dad said "Dad we are not babies any more "the teenage boy grunts "oh Elijah my son in my eyes you will always baby " Dad said acknowledging Elijah alone and I am not hurt by this but I am used to it in every royal family the sons are more precious than the daughters and that is the harsh truth " ahem dad did you promise to give us whatever we asked for on our birthday today " Elijah says reminding his father " oh yes kids state you requests " dad said that is when things got a little interesting Elijah being my brother and the crown prince asked father to buy him the expensive latest flashy sports car and dad agreed with no hesitation but I asked him to send me to school to do my senior year next freaked out on me before storming out " Maya why would you ask such a thing " Mother scolded me I don't know what got into me at that moment but I stood up so eruptly and started lashing out "this is so unfair mum brother asks dad to buy him a car that is worth 40 million he agrees with no hesitation but when I ask him to allow me to go school next year to do my senior year and to make some actual friends he acts like the world is ending this so unfair ! I do every thing right I obey him to point where I am strangers with my own powers yet he can't fulfill the one thing I have asked of him in my entire life !!" I could feel the suppressed powers in me unleash themselves causing the ground under my feet to shake , the wind moved violently , the temperature got hotter and hotter and all the liquids started levitating and rising out of their vessels one thing Catherine and Elijah were terrified Valrick's refusal to kamaya's one and only simple wish was enough to evoke the powers they have been trying to suppress for years
She was terrified as Kamaya's hair was turning silver at a rapid rate just after that kamaya's hair was fully turned silver her sea green eyes turned ice blue and were glowing whenever they tried to touch her ,her body temperature was as hot as lava and if things were not getting any worse the floor was starting to crack the all of a sudden she collapsed on the ground then everything stoped the cracks on the floor were getting sealed ,the temperature was going back to normal and the wind started being calming down Elijah picking up his beloved sister from the ground then to his mother"you and dad are always harsh towards her and despite all that all she ever does is try to please you ,can't dad just fulfill the only thing she has ever asked of him today havoc was a reflection of all the bottled up emotions and if anything happens to my sister I will never forgive you and dad " the teenage boy said before disappearing into thin air he used a teleportation spell to transport him and his sister to her room leaving their mother in tears Valrick who returned to deny Kamaya's wish was at loss for words when he saw the whole thing a part of a part of him agreed with his son the daughter who has always been obedient and quiet was asking him to send her to school next and he was going to refuse her a part of he felt really guilty
