Chapter 1

A cold, arrogant man sat by the windows in Quaint Club. He stared at the documents in front of him with his brows furrowed.

His assistant was cautiously introducing his date, "President Dyott, I believe that your date Miss Eabry, should be up to your standards for an arranged marriage. She is an online celebrity streamer, 22 years old, a graduate from Hallord University, has an exceptional figure, loves children and her looks are..."

Before his assistant could finish, a lady, seemingly dressed like an inter-celebrity, walked into the club and sat right across Dangelo Dyott.

Clearly, this was the date that his assistant was talking about, the celebrity streamer.

Before Dangelo could even take a good look at the celebrity's face, another woman suddenly grabbed his arm.

The woman was in a light-coloured dress with her hair loose, looking very intelligent.

Before anyone could react to the situation, she planted a light kiss on Dangelo's lips the next second and sat beside him with a slight grin.

"Hey, babe, what a coincidence, I was just about to go find you."

His assistant was stunned.

What was wrong with this woman?

And why was she calling President Dyott 'babe'?" the assistant thought to himself.

Genevieve Earlston deliberately pretended to be Dangelo's girlfriend and sweetly acknowledged his assistant. She sensed that the assistant was about to intervene, so she quickly took off her backpack and began her act.

She instantly put on a shy demeanour and said, "Darling, I just got some things from the store, you and I are going to have some fun tonight..."

She began emptying the contents of her bag as she spoke.

They were all adult toys...

His assistant was shocked as he looked at the pile of toys.

"I didn't know the president was into these types of things." he thought.

He sneaked a peek at Dangelo and by the looks of it, the end of the world was about to happen.

The assistant hurriedly grabbed Genevieve and pulled her away, but Dangelo had already stood up.

With long strides, he went straight out the door.

No one could tell what he was feeling.

The assistant frantically trailed behind him and explained, "President, I'll get rid of that crazy woman immediately and arrange for you and Miss Eabry to meet at another place. I have no idea what's going on with this woman."

Behind him, his blind date Miss Eabry hurriedly stood up and sheepishly tried to get him to stay, "President Dyott, but you have't even gotten a good look at me... how could you just leave?"

"There's no need."

Dangelo ignored the celebrity's words and coldly spoke directly to his assistant, "Get a background check on that woman. I choose her."

"Well... the background check on Miss Eabry is already sent to your e-mail, sir."

The assistant thought Dangelo was referring to the online celebrity, Miss Eabry.

"I'm talking about THAT woman."

He pointed to Genevieve, who was still in her seat.

After that, Dangelo got into his car without looking back.

......

Genevieve looked at the man who left coldly, she couldn't help but sigh in relief.

Although she had pretended to be a mistress so many times, this was the first time a man left after being accused. This might have been an unexpected turn of events, but the ending was still satisfactory.

Genevieve put away her props and stuffed them into her bag. She looked at the woman across her and was amazed. "Seems like this client was pretty into the act, was she trying to stop her blind date from leaving?" Genevieve thought.

Genevieve put on her most dashing, sugar-daddy pleasing smile and walked over to the "client" in front of her, "Miss Robin, would you like to pay in cash, or should I send the bill over to finances?"

"What bill? Who the hell are you?!"

The woman let out a shriek as she picked up the coffee in front of her and threw it in Genevieve's face before standing up and and leaving.

Genevieve was stunned.

Was she denying her bill?

She quickly picked up her bag and chased after her. Suddenly, her phone rang.

It was her partner, Serena Gaetz.

"Genevieve, when are you going to get here? The blind date is over. Why haven't you shown up yet?"

"What? I've already finished the job! I'm chasing after the client for the balance payment."

Genevieve explained as she chased after her, but when she arrived at the entrance to the restaurant, she suddenly noticed that there was also a Quaint Club across the street.

And, she could see her partner coming, Serena walking over from a distance to her with a sullen expression.

Did she go to the wrong place and broke the wrong couple up?

This was the first time she made a mistake after being in the job for so long.

Sh*t.

Genevieve was so taken aback that she rushed over to another side of the street to try and salvage the situation.

Many people in upper-class society would often have blind dates set up for them by their families. However, because of their family's social status, they couldn't go too far out of line. So, many of the girls would hire them to slander their blind dates, so that they wouldn't have to go through with the matchmaking.

Genevieve just happened to be a professional mistress who was being hired to slander people.

Before Genevieve could get anywhere, a man stepped in and blocked her path.

"Miss, President Dyott is going to marry you. This is the contract. Please have a look."

"I'm busy, I'll marry you next time... next time, okay..."

Genevieve gave a random reply and hurried away without fully taking in what the person was saying.

The assistant just took in the situation and reported to Dangelo.

"I'll marry you next time..."

Dangelo pondered over these words with great interest. This was the first time a woman did not throw herself at him hearing of his interest to marry her, she even said she'll marry him next time.

All right!

"Since she said she'll marry me 'next time', I'll just show up at her house and give her a chance." Dangelo thought.
