The sun is shining bright and the cloud was not in the mood to cuddle up the sky. Under the peaceful view, chaos is happening. A strong and fast running woman is catching one thief. Wearing her respective formal black pantsuit-- portraying her powerful look yet feminine glamour. Her shining shimmering black long hair was french braided with such artistic glimpse.
"HEY, STOP RIGHT THERE!" A fierce demand from Miss Ken-- The Police Sergeant of Unit 101, Padaw City. Though troubled by the messy surroundings, the noisy market, the heavy traffics and the walking pedestrians, she runs like a lion eager to beat her prey and as she was about to grab the culprit's hand, she was grabbed instead by someone else in her waist. Due to the shock, the powerful woman didn't have the time to launch fatal self-defense. In just half-second, her hands were chuckled. It is as if she was the culprit.
She tries her best to escape. But, her might was not enough, and without her consent, she was riding a car with two men in black accompanying her. Their sight was an eyesore to hers. Her atmosphere is burning with anger. She keeps her mouth shut but her eyes were investigating-- Looking for some escapes.
She wasn't able to flee for the men were well-trained kidnappers, their concentration was strong that they cannot be disrupted, their body was well-built, too good for one on one battle. And after hours of travel, she was then seated in front of a wide smiling fair looking man. His hair was tidied upward and his eyebrows were thick. The surrounding was not a miserable abandoned building but an elegant dull looking office.
"What do you need from me?" A calm voice from the woman darkened the man's aura. The man was offended- thinking the woman is scheming him- making whirls on his head.
"Oh my Miss Ken, do not tell me you forgot me? " Though the man is smiling, Ken can feel his anger in his every term.
"I'm sorry, I really don't know you."
"Let me remind you. Take this paper and read it well. " The man released her hand cupped and gave her a brown folder. He sat on his table, showing Ken his demanding look. He pointed his gun on her forehead- telling Ken that one wrong move, she will be dead. Fooling isn't in his projection- making her know the danger.
Ken read the papers in the folder- displaying an undisturbed face- Trying to surpass her emotion as she saw her name, her signature and her picture on a marriage contract agreement. But as a sharp-witted former detective, she knows already what is happening.
She knows that she cannot excuse for she has no evidence to prove her innocence. Like a maid accused of stealing and must be sentenced to continuous weeping.
"Do you remember me now? "
" Sorry sir but I do not. "
"You are still calm, haha. But no more excuses Miss Ken, yesterday was supposed to be your appearance for the marriage certificate signing but you failed to come. I bet you are ready to face the consequences. " The man keeps smiling- objecting the emotion he is feeling.
From the pitch of the man's voice, she knows he is not a nut that she can scheme using her knowledge of laws. 'It is obvious that he demonstrates wisdom on laws. This man is powerful. If I will accept the penalty, I cannot pay for a large amount of money nor sacrifice my body for beating. I need to play this well, this is a big hole-- I should not be the one to fall.'
"Mister, I had a temporary memory loss since last week because I accidentally bumped my head strongly on the wall of our house. Due to many problems, I usually bumped my head on the walls making me suffer such a thing." This time Ken shows some emotion- giving a look of an innocent honest woman.
"If you want, lets rearranged the marriage some other time. How about next month? " Hearing her the man's aura suddenly glows up-- it is as if he was spared from death.
"Sorry dear, my boss is not that patient. He badly needed a wife now. "
Out of the blue, the man shows Ken a piece of paper- making her sweats. 'This was bad! I need time to investigate and prove my innocence. This sudden marriage is sickening. According to the contract, if I will break the agreement, I needed to pay ten billion and will sell my father's share at the Grandouse Company. I cannot afford to do that.'
Finally, she decided to sign it. And before she was release, the man gave her a simple ring imprinted with the word philo inside.
"Wear it always so that your husband can know it's you."
Ken fixed everything she needed. When the moon took a shift, she finally arrived at the address given to her. Though nervous she keep her stoic face in a display as she enters the grand gate of Cadettes' mansion. She wanted to show no fear. She wanted to show nothingness.
The servants help her with her baggage and gladly tour her to her new house. She studied every detail of the house- as well evaluating the owner of the house by the looks of it.
As she lay on the soft king-size bed, her mind was in deep planning on how to make her husband distasteful towards her. As she heard footsteps approaching the door, she pretended she was deep asleep.
