"There's a popular restaurant here somewhere. Their menu.."
I cross my arms while looking at the guy-I mean, my date in my front. I've been listening to him for the passed two hours and literally he just keep talking about luxurious things and nothing else so I'm getting bored. I'm not sure if it is okay to stand up here and leave him- tsk! Of course, it's not okay!
If only I knew that this date would turn out like this, I should've said no when he asked me to go out.
"Are you listening?" Nathan asked, confused.
I wanted to roll my eyes in annoyance because of course I'm not listening. Can't he see? But instead of doing that I just tried to show my fake smile at him.
"Yes, Of course." I answered.
He nodded. He was about to answer but I quickly cut him off.
"Bathroom break. Can I?"
I didn't wait for his answer, I just grab my purse and started walking at the opposite direction.
I know I'm so mean but can he blame me? I wanted to go home and if I tell him that, I know he will be upset like the other guys I dated and I don't want another drama. I just want peaceful day today. That include my bed, pillows and plates for my finals! Geez. I should've study instead.
So when I successfully walk out through the exit I pick up my phone to text him a lie that I suddenly feel dizzy so I went home.
"Ditching someone?" Someone asked.
I shook my head. "Nope." I answered.
"Sure?"
"Yes, why?"
"Because you look someone who ditched people when she wants to."
I look at my right side to see who's talking.
"Are you talking to me?" I asked, thinking that he was talking to me.
He was wearing this weird hat, black jacket, black pants and a nike. He was kind of familiar actually.
He look at me with his eyebrows up. My forehead furrowed because of his reaction.
"What?" He asked.
"I asked if are you talking to me-"
Then it hits me that he was holding a cellphone on his left hand. He was talking someone who was on the other line.
I hardly close my eyes. I secretly pinch myself because of embarrassment. He chuckled.
"Sorry, bye!" I said before walking away to find a taxi.
"Wait Miss-!"
This is a bad day. I continued walking and didn't mind him even though he was saying something.
I breathed a sigh of relief as there was a taxi that stopped in front of me. I quickly got on board and didn't bother to look back because of the embarrassment I had encountered myself.
I had enough on this day. I just wanted to sleep and skip meals to forget everything that had happened.
"So you leave Nathan on your first date?" Brenna asked after I told her about what happened yesterday.
Brenna is my best friend ever since I get into hight school until now that I'm in college. We've never been separated specially that both of our parents are busy because of their own businesses. So now, we are stuck to each other.
So back to reality, Brenna looks disappointed of what I did. I rolled my eyes at her. We are here in the classroom. Everyone is busy doing their plates, including me. While Brenna keeps on telling me the reasons why I can't find a guy because of my behavior. Tssk. Seriously, why would I need a guy?
"That was your last card in order to have a serious boyfriend." She said.
"I don't like him. He's too luxurious!"
"That's what you always say Yasmin."
"Because you always set me to a guy like him!" Argh! I almost annoyed by what Brenna wants. She always like this. Always telling me that I need a guy.
"When would you settle?"
I laugh at her. "I'm just nineteen Brenna. And besides I'm still in college!"
"What I mean was- when would you have a serious relationship?"
I smiled at her sweetly. "When I found a guy who matches me."
"The guy who needs no drama?" She asked, knowing me.
I nodded "Yes Brenna."
So our conversation ended. Brenna stop annoying me with her list of guys that she wants me to date. We continued doing or plates.
Hours has passed when I excused myself to buy snacks. I leave my plates to Brenna. Hope she watch it carefully. Knowing that girl.
We don't have a class today because there was a meeting. That's why I didn't bother to go faster back to the classroom. I took my time walking while eating.
"So you're the student of this university."
I stopped walking when I heard a familiar voice somewhere.
"You." I pointed out while staring at the guy in the bench.
He's wearing a simple black shirt and black pants. His hair were clean cut. And he's smiling?
"Are you a student here?" I asked.
He smirked. "Now you're interested?"
"What? No!" I answered defensively.
He laughed. My mouth dropped open. He's kinda cute-No Yasmin!
He step forward but I step back. He noticed it so he stop to look at me with a menacing eyes.
"Why are you-"
He cut me off. "I'm here to give you this. You left your i.d yesterday." He answered before I finish my question.
He handed me my i.d. I just look at it for a second before I thanked him.
"Your welcome." He smiled.
He looks friendly. I suddenly wondered if he's a student here? I've never seen him before. Or even if I do maybe I won't remember him.
I was about to turned my back on him but he say something that made me stop again.
"I'm not a student here." He said.
"So?"
He laughed. "Just saying.."
I nooded. "Okay. Bye!"
"Wait!"
My forehead cease. Am I look like a waiting shed?
"What?" I asked.
He smiled widely. "Nice to met you Yasmin Sandoval."
But before I could say something, he waved and run. I was left confused.
