Chapter 1

Michelle POV

“Please, for the love of all that’s innocent and pure – do not look into my brother’s eyes when you are

introduced to him” That must have been the tenth warning Val gave me for the very same day, and all I

am thinking is ‘why warn me, what about the other girls and besides, I am about 10 years older than her

brother in any case’

That is how my morning started – and may I say, it’s the day of her wedding, and she is more worried

about me being introduced to her mysterious brother than anything else.

Sitting on the balcony of the prestigious hotel where the entire wedding ceremony and after party will

be,

all courtesy of her filthy rich mommy and daddy

pretending to listen to her and her ongoing

warnings about her brother, just nodding my head every now and then.

“I am serious Michelle, my brother is dangerous, stay away from him.”

“Listen Val, I am sure you have more shit to worry about, than me actually meeting your brother, and by

the way, weddings are there for us “non-married people” to make mistakes and wake up after a night of

bad decisions. So please, stop it, and I am sure your make up girl is calling you” Val noticed the irritation

in my voice, so she dropped the subject and moved inside.

I was alone on that balcony for a full total of 15 minutes before one of Val’s bridesmaids – whose name I

am really not interested in remembering – gave a heart stopping shriek next to me. The rest of the girls

stormed the balcony looking in the direction she was pointing at.

Obviously, I got up from my very comfy seat to see what the commotion was and hold and behold – my

eyes caught the sight of the absolute sex god who just entered the grounds below.

“That, my dear ladies, will be none other than Val’s brother”

I ignore their gasps, and comments about him, and focus more on the man in the tuxedo who is now

looking up at me giving me a tiny but definite smirk.

Tingling feelings shoot up my spine, making the hair all over my body stand up.

My gosh that man must be sent to earth from Satan – nothing that good looking can be good, it must be

all evil only sent to earth to torture every single female alive.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by the makeup artist calling me for my turn – clearly irritated I walk over

to her, downing the last of my pink wine.

2 Hours later, we are all lined up ready to walk down the aisle with my best friend and who will also be

my sister-in-law in the next few hours. She looks absolutely stunning, a picture-perfect bride, happy and

excited and most importantly, in love.

I look at my brother standing there all proud and just as in love, watching Val’s every move – the tears of

joy in his eyes makes me even smile. They are perfect.

“You may now kiss the bride” – and that’s when I felt it, the tingles, and that feeling you get when

someone stares at you.

Every single part of my body on high alert. What is that? Or more, WHO is causing those feelings?

Following the newly married couple out the door, my eyes roaming the area to find the culprit who’s

been staring at me.

Incredible heat flushes my body, my head starts spinning and I feel dizzy, but not the kind of dizzy when

you are about to faint, nnnnoooooo, more the kind of dizzy just before you have an orgasm.

I need to get this day over and done with, forget about my initial idea of weddings only exist for un￾married people to make the wrong decisions – I need to get the fuck out of here, something is literally

driving me insane, ok right after the introductions, I’m out of here.

What felt like hours later, I am still being introduced to some of Val’s family members, jeez, how

extended can this family be? I look at the girl next to me, indicating I am heading to the bar, I need a

drink, fuck I needed a drink hour ago already –

“2 Jägermeister’s, a double Southern Comfort with lime and Sprite Zero please” I give my order to the

bartender – who looks at me like ‘are you really going to drink that’ shit dude if I wasn’t going to drink

that I would not have ordered it – thinking to myself and rolling my eyes. He placed my order in front of

me and I quickly down both my shots one after the other, giving a ‘take that’ smile, I turn and walk back

to the dreaded introductions. Halfway to the table, I decide to make a bee line out of there and head to

the garden for some fresh air.

Ahh peace, at long last, and then it hit me again, the tingles, the dizziness, the heat – fuck this, I need

the find the cause of this. I turn around in a hurry and as usual not looking where I am going, I walk

straight into a brick wall, ok, in my defense, it felt like a brick wall, but in actual fact, it was muscles,

huge, big, strong well-defined muscles.

Oh my gosh, looking up, I realized that I was standing chest against chest with none other than Mr. Sex

on legs, looking down at me with eyes as blue as the ocean, fuck I feel like a goldfish – no words, no

thoughts, nothing but a gasp. I felt his strong arms on my shoulders, I might add, bare shoulders because

of the strapless dress I’m wearing – my gosh his hands, so soft, smooth and warm, the heat from his

hands feels ten times more than the heat that’s starting to grow inside of me.

“Hi, I am Xavier” he says with a hint of……. I don’t know what in his voice, but I know it hit me straight to

my core, dead center, in such a way that I can feel the throbbing starting, slowly but very surely.

“Hi, I-I’m Michelle, sorry for bumping into you, I wasn’t looking where I was going”

What the hell, even my own voice sounded strange to me – this man is a huge, big NO NO – he is

walking, talking SIN.

“Excuse me please, I need to go back to the meet and greet, enjoy your evening” just turn around and

go Michelle, do not look back, do not turn around, just go, I preach to myself.

Safe space – back at the table, meeting, smiling and in most cases, faking it
